Bookings are non refundable but you can pay a £1.50 fee for insurance. Guide Dogs for the Deaf are free.

The Committee is not involved with hotel bookings and the prices were taken from their website.

Ticket prices [for reunion] will be announced later in January 2014.

I'm pleased there is a reunion in October next year it will give me the chance to meet old friends and old teachers and care staff who used to work with me

Birkdale Reunion Association held a meeting last Friday 20 September 2013.

The next reunion will be held on Saturday 11 October 2014 at the Masonic Hall, Duke Street, Southport.

The reason for change from The Scarisbrick is that the hotel has changed ownership since we made our last booking there and there is now a charge for use of room .We ,as a Committee, have examined the buffett menu and will probably tweak it a little to make it better and ensure there are alternatives for vegetarians.We will finalise the ticket price very soon.

When will news of the 2014 reunion be on the website?

John Brennan is right it is Mr Henderson in that 1949 football photo as I was at the school 1948 till 1956

I've still got the photo of my old class mates, involving the pattison twins, celia hulme and a few others, which mrs wood gave me just after i visited the school in 2001, ive been showing it to members of wirral autistic society

According to John Brennan the teacher on the 1949 football team photo named as Mr Toohey is actually Jack Henderson who had just returned from South Africa?
