Sad to hear of the passing of Mr Henderson, he was one of my favourite teachers at Birkdale

Hello. It was nice to hear from Frank Burns - I have met him at Parkfield where I used to stay during the weekend til it has closed down. I have missed it. I didn't like living at Crosby during the weekends. I have left since 10 years plus. Thank God. Do u have any contacts from Steve & Marian? They used to work at Parkfield.

I'm really looking forward to Octobers reunion which my support worker frank griffiths is taking me to, looking forward to seeing some old teachers, care staff and pupils, I hope so, as I feel I did we'll at this school, both academically and socially.

I also supported students at Southport College including Michelle Quayle, Fiona Campbell, and many others. All of them were a pleasure to support at that time and I'm so pleased to see how well they all look on Facebook!!

Hello, I was a very young teacher at Birkdale from 1984 until 1988. I have such fond memories of the school and it's pupils and staff. It makes me quite weepy now reading what has happened to it. My first class of children were very special to me including Lee Carey, Christopher Jones, Victoria Sefton, Paul Ashworth, Paul Southall, Maria Pemberton, Emma Hughes etc - happy days!

Hi, our son Christopher was a pupil at both Parkfield and Birkdale (1980-1987). Today, in Tesco, Kew, we met a lovely young lady and her daughter - Laura and Amelia Cammack. This meeting has stirred such strong emotions of both pleasure and pain for Jenny and I; the pleasure in seeing a fellow pupil of our son mature into a happy adult, the pain is for the "what might have been" for our boy. So Laura, thank you so much. It was a real pleasure to meet you.

The Committee held a meeting last Friday. A decision was taken to implement a cut off date for sale of tickets. The cut off date is 13 September 2014. No tickets will be sold on the night and the event is entry by ticket only.
