Hello ex-pupils,

Just a quick note to informed you all that sadly, my father passed away on the 25th June, 2011 ....on his birthday too! This is no joke! He had a massive heart attack.

I visited the Amateur Golf Championship tournament at the Hillside Golf course yesterday and decided to kill 2 birds with one stone to visit the old school as well.

But what a sorry sight to see the school been gutted and partly destroyed by fire. It was a very fine building even though I wasn't always happy being there at the time but still did have happy memories there with fellow pupils and I still keep in touch with my good old friend Melvin Oughton which I have done for the last 52 years !

Wow, just having read guestbook of nearly 500 messages dating back to 2004 - I was only aware of this via fb - so nice to see some familiar names I remember in our shcool days. So sad to hear of Mr Furness and Mrs Henderson so RIP to both of them and consolences to both families. When is the next Reunion please? Anyone from class of 79' still keeping in touch?

Hi everyone. I am shocked that the school is in ruins. Condolences to mrs furness, nice to see mr henderson on reunion pictures and other teachers. I left school in 1971. I can see a few names in the guestbook that i remember.

Sorry to hear the sad new of Mr Furness my thoughts are with his wife and family at this sad time of their loss.
