Just want to say A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all ex-pupils and staff alike.

Always sad to get to know of the passing away of a former pupil or member of the staff. I remember Robert West quite well. He liked his football and his favourite player at the time, as I recall it, Fred Pickering of Everton.

Hi, my name is Elizabeth Bell and my maiden name was Teare. I don't know whether you will remember me as I was in your school for a short time, I think it was about 4 months in 1968. I left because I was very homesick. I didn't go home at weekend and I've always been left alone at school with Mrs McKenzie and her daughter Fiona. That's the reason why I've left - silly me!!

Anyway, hope some you folks remember me if not I'm not surprised. Anyway, I remember Molly Harris, Christine Bradley, Jane Cheetham, Gareth and Mervyn Williams but I'm afraid that I don't remember the lot, tut tut.

I was married to a Fireman in 1990 and had 2 lovely daughters, now 20 and 14. We got divorced in 2004 but we are still amicable. I hope I will hear from you if you wish to contact me and I will be very happy to reply. Byeeeee!!

I wonder if have more information about who designed architecture of Birkdale School for hearing impaired? I just interested! I just hope we can save the school and bring it back! I remmy every moment there was heart-blowing when it finished! Please email me with history of architecture of the school.
