The Committee held a meeting last night Friday 2 September 2016.

The only two subjects discussed in depth was the finalising of the menu which has now been passed to the Chef of the Masonic Hall. We are hopeful that the choice of buffett will be enjoyed by all. This Reunion a choice of Three (I think!)sweets was added to the menu at the request of pupils who attended the last reunion. The buffett at the Reunion will be served from 8.30pm.

CUT OFF DATE FOR PURCHASE OF TICKETS 23 SEPTEMBER 2016

There will be no sales of tickets after the 23rd September 2016 and no sales of tickets at the door on the night. Early arrival would be much appreciated so that members welcoming guests at the door can take their seats in the Hall and enjoy the occasion.

With regard to the previous posting i made regarding the PayPal ticket option, I made an error When two or more tickets are purchased and are required to be sent together in the same envelope a single payment of £1 is enough to cover the postage. Thus for example 2 tickets at £7 each equals £14 plus £1 postage equals £15.

I am sorry for this error. my senior moment!

Ticket sales are going ok and PayPal has been used successfully.

We hald a meeting last Friday 11/03/2016.

Tony Wright handed over the newly printed tickets to Steven Brayshaw and myself,Ron Gilbody. You will find ordering details elsewhere on this website, including the ordering details from myself as well as Steven Brayshaw.

Since the meeting I have added a PayPal payment option after receiving further comments from expupils who no longer use cheques and the difficulty of paying for tickets without a cheque book. If you choose to use my PayPal please add £1 to the ticket price to pay for the envelope and stamp so that I can post to you. Tickets have already been purchased on the PayPal since it was set up so it works!

The subject of menu was discussed. This will be have its final tweaking at the May Meeting and we can gaurantee a really good buffet! The timing of serving of the buffet was discussed. At the last reunion it was served at 8pm, that was not what we had wanted and it was too early. We have ensured the buffet will be served at 9pm.

Regarding hotels, the nearest is the Dukes Folley which is, if i recall correctly, next door to the Masonic Hall. it is bound to be a popular choice due to its close proximity. I know for a fact that at least two rooms have already been booked there. If you wish to book there it can be done on Booking.com or alternatively the hotels phone number is 01704 533355. There is also the Travelodge on Lord St.
