I’m doing alright at Giles Shirley hall, and back in community vocational studies after the pandemic , I’m glad to be back at work, hope theirs another reunion soon so I can see everyone from birkdale

Hello! I hope everyone is doing okay?
Ive been over to Southport this weekend for a little break!
I always go to the School hoping to see lots of changes and developments taking place, but alas no sign of better times to come. It pains me to see the continued demise of the site and I still have that gut feeling the building will end up being flattened (im sure the owners whoever they are will want this to be the outcome? Has covid played a part in this to the developers advantage?) The local council should have done something about it years ago?
Does anyone else feeling strongly about this situation?

When is the next reunion

Very sad news that my old school friend David Smith died peacefully last night(15th March). He just turned 77 last Friday and he left School in 1960.I have let Melvin Oughton know. RIP David

Hello. I have just found Marion Dunne on Facebook and waiting for a reply. I didn't remember her and Steve's surname before the 1st hostel at Waterloo Road has closed in 1998. I used to stay at Waterloo Road during the weekends til it has closed in 1998. I have joined Birkdale School in 1997.

I was sad that Mr Martin had to resign at the begining of 2000 due to his heath. He got better nearer the time of Birkdale Schoo has closed.

I would to hear from any ex-pupils n ex-staff who knows me. I have joined BIrkdale School in September 1997 til July 2000 I went to Southport College BFEDS til it closed down.
