Mike sorry for the comment I have put on here, but it for anybody to read to agree or dont agree. I Dont mind, but I like to point out Ronnie sent me email saying he agree with me as the food was terrible and overcrowding so I got the impression that the committee would try look for an alternative venue to which is 12 months to go. I am NOT stopping anybody going to the reunion, that is up to the persons themselves

I am not happy with the tone of Martin's post here and think it is disrespectful of all the work the committee has done on our behalf. I for one would be happy to return to the Talbot and I believe its the people attending who make the reunion a success.

In saying that, I do agree that the committee should attempt to find a better venue if possible, and they certainly should review the buffet.

Please could I ask the committee to publish a more detailed report giving reasons for their decison. Ron has already given me some very good reasons, but the report falls far, far short of Ron's email to me.

Also I would request the committee (as well as Ron) to comunicate with expupils much more than they are at present on the forum linked to this site.

Thanks again for all your hard work guys, you are only failing in ONE area, comunicating with people and being honest about your reasons.

I agree with you Martin and I have made some comments on the Birkdale F.H.I.C Reunion Assoc. on facebook. I know a few won't be going if it's being held at the same hotel.

What is the hell is going on? Why have u booked the same hotel again? u will end up fewer than last time. We all wanted a change of hotel. Do the committe have a conection with the hotel ??

Been txting around, found most not going to same hotel again !!!!

The Reunion Committee met today. It was decided to hold the next reunion on October 2nd 2010 at The Talbot Hotel Southport.

Just a note to say the Reunion was a big Improvement, that is moving from May to Oct, but the downfall was (base on Informations from others who were at the reunion and myself) 1/Room not bigger enough, 2/Buffet was not ok.

Anyway as I have been going to the reunion every time there is one, and seeing so many new faces that I have not seen for the last 30+ years, I would like to see other formers pupils to come along just once a life time a year. With the likes of Stephen and Julie Malpus turning up was unbeliveable, thinking they would not change ie faces, size etc. Hope to see u all again next year, christmas dinner? sat for reunion and sun for non reunion, meeting point in Southport, what u think
