I feel very appreciative of you offering me the position of President of the association. I enjoyed the reunion very very much indeed because of the great numbers of old pupils, both boys and girls, who were present.

Please make sure that my thanks are seen by all who were present on Saturday night. Very Best wishes to everyone.

I really did enjoy the reunion, it was fantastic to see old friends which was my only concern on the night. Yes there was a lot of room for improvement with the venue and catering wise but the joy of the occasion overode this. who's gonna complain about a buffet when making up for 35yrs of not seeing your mates! I did not think the price was something to complain about...we can do better but I think you'll pay more! A tent will do me! Its friends that make the day...

Irene if you compare this reunion to last year it was a roaring success...I know one of the younger ones had no old friends there at all, and you are not happy cause there were not enough older ones there...In actual fact we had more 60s/70s expups there this year because we have been getting in touch on Facebook and generating interest..so I think it was our turn this year! wink

A long weekend sounds good...we definately need to keep working on making it better than ever...so get the message passed around for the next one..whenever and wherever!

Hello to all of you.

Just reading comments about the recent reunion, I agree that the evening did not last long enough as no doubt a lot of talking and catching up with each other would probably take all week! What we need to do is to come up with ideas to help our Reunion Commitee to organise better set up for future get togethers?

What about a mini weekend instead of just a one night party? EG Take over a suitable hotel, Friday evening to Sunday afternoon? We could meet old friends on a more casual basis instead of trying to squeeze in the reunion in a space of 4-5hours?

The Reunion commitee do a good job for us all but im sure contributions could make their work a little easier? Come on all of us lets make a difference to our lives. Regards to everyone.

It was great to see old friends, but I was disappointed that so few of us "oldies" were at the Reunion. Also, I felt the room wasn't big enough and the buffet was poor for the price. Hopefully next time will be better

I too enjoyed our reunion very much, seeing the squeals of delight and glee as we saw each other for the first time in years still echo's in my mind and brings a smile.

Julie, my sister summed up night well," I did not want the night to end, but my bed kept calling and it was over all too soon".

I too enjoyed the reunion party in Southport and it was lovely to see some who I have not seen since leaving school. It was very nice to see Mrs Goodall after all these years and Mr Henderson looking very well. Let hope next time will be bigger and better.

The staff in fancy dress at children's Christmas Dinner was I think 1979 and the theme was Olympic Events.

This is a message for Maryam Kamel. Several people at the Reunion said you had been trying to contact me. You have my address so write me a letter. I am delighted to hear you are on a course.

I passed on your condolences to Mrs Pope and it was kind of you to ring her, but I think she needs to be left to grieve without being rung again now.

Take care
