No, I was never a teacher at Birkdale but a student. I left in 1988. When did you leave?

I am now a teacher but in California.

There was a teacher called Ms. Morris (spelt with one "s") when I was at Birkdale between 1986 - 1988.

My older brother Jonathan was at Birkdale longer than me. From Parkfield thru to the end. I only joined in 1986.

A Reunion Question.

I am only able to come over to England during the summer months last 2 weeks of July and first 3 weeks of August.

It is possible for me to come over during Christmas and the first week of April.

I was asking Tony if its possible to have the 2008 reunion during these times, so that I can attend.

Its entirely up to you guys, but Tony did mention that during the year 2008 a lot is happening in Southport. So planning for the 2008 reunion needs to start but not without your input!

Tony, can you re-state what you said in Charlotte Smith's forum!

Naughty me , it's 1am and i should be in bed but hey ho !! Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow evening. Don't forget to meet up at the Prince of Wales Hotel in the bar at 7:30 and once everyone has arrived we can decide what to do.

Class of 86 Xmas Bash

Got some great news!! Joanne Parker is comming after all!! So just to update you yet again on events. Everyone is now staying overnight in Southport Friday night apart from cathy who is joining on Saturday because of her responsibilities with her lovely baby daughter which is understandable.
I've been giving some thought as to where we will all meet on Friday night. I will be escaping work by 5pm Friday and should be in Southport for about 6pm -6:30pm. I guess everyone else will be making there way up to Southport too. So how about meeting say 7:30pm-8pm in the bar at the Prince of Wales Hotel (admittedly my hotel!) and then we can all decide if we want to go somewhere else for a drink etc? What do you all think?

i am planning on a possible reunion in march 07 for my birthday if anyone from my class of 86 who was in miss morris class or paul ashworth, paul langdon, robert kennedy , mrs woods miss morris,would like to come they are most welcome please send me an e-mail or leave a message on the guestbook, thanks!

In response to the queries asking why this website hasn’t been updated since October 2, as Mik pointed out, it can only be updated when there is something to update it with.

I’ve not received any news since early October. There was a flurry of photos sent in during August and September and they were added to the Photos page, but no more have been received since the beginning of September.

At the end of the day, it's up to you lot - the ex-pupils, former staff etc. - to provide news and info that might be of interest to others. I can’t add it if I don’t know about it. Obviously, if I hear of something and it‘s verifiable, I’ll include it.

Although I'm pretty busy at the mo, I do try to check server logs regularly, and deal with spam and other issues to make sure the site is accessible without any problems. Sometimes people report spam or unwelcome messages that appear on here, which I may miss (thanks in particular to Angela for this! ), and they get dealt with as soon as possible.

I am open to suggestions of how to improve the website, and welcome any help too. Remember this is YOUR website, and was set up with the intention to keep people “in the loop” as it were, especially since the closure of the school.

Please get in touch if you have any news or suggestions.

Just a brief update...
Excellent news..Nicola Stowe will definetly be comming on Dec 1st. Sadly Joanne Parker has had to drop out at the last moment owing to family commitments but i know that she is most upset about that as she was looking forward to comming but will be with us in spirit!!
